Tata Aria Export Plans To European & SAARC Markets

Tata Aria is the latest SUV in the Indian Automobile market and is desperately awaited by us and a lot others. It is certainly the next big step taken by the Tatas and expectedly the car will bring about a lot of change as it is not only serves the purpose of an suv but also an MPV. The interest of customers as well as the media is has grown to a much greater extent.

Considering the interest being originated for the car the company is also evaluating the possibilities of exporting the new car to other global markets and may deliver some good news soon. The company has also been overwhelmed by a 77 growth in the exports in September 2010 as against what it was the same month,last year.

Tata Motors Passenger Car Business Unit Utility Vehicles Product Group Head S G Saksena told reporters here, "Normally for any manufacturer it would take about six months after introducing the car in the domestic market to commence exports… We do have plans…(for exporting the Aria range of SUVs in the overseas market),"

"Most of the products introduced in domestic (markets) are usually taken to overseas market after six months. There are host of other features (before exporting) which needs to be taken care of, which will take time… We do have plans to export it to European and SAARC countries after six months…," he added.
