Ford has released the first details of the Ford Start which is due to start production in 2014. The 2014 Ford Start was unveiled as a concept car at the 2010 Beijing auto show in China. Speculation is that it will be the replacement model for the small Ford Ka.

The 2014 Ford Start will be powered by a new 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine assisted by a turbo and direct-injection fuel management system. This would then be controlled via a six-speed manual transmission.

One of the many Ford technologies that are being developed for the car includes a voice activation system that will control the air conditioning, vehicle diagnostics and other features of the car.
