FIA GT3: Prospeed Competition takes Team Championship Title at Zolder Posted: 10 Oct 2010 09:39 AM PDT Photo: © 2010 Loek Pictures | oneighturbo.com The two final rounds in the FIA GT3 calendar took place this weekend in Belgium. Coming off his first 10 hour Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta last weekend, Marco Holzer had two great races at Zolder. With a strong run in the second race today, Paul van Splunteren and Marco Holzer secured the Champioship. The Hexis AMR Aston Martin DBRS9 of Frederic Makowiecki and Manuel Rodrigues finished in second. Enzo Ide and Greg Franchi clinched the final podium spot in their Belgian Audi Club Audi R8 LMS. Prospeed teammates, Petri Lappalainen and Markus Palttala finished in 5th place, giving the team 10pts and keeping them ahead of Callaway Competition. Belcar: Maxime Soulet wins pole in the Prospeed Competition Porsche 911 GT3-R Posted: 10 Oct 2010 05:25 AM PDT Photo: © 2010 Loek Pictures | oneighturbo.com Maxime Soulet was able to top a 1.32.069 by Niels Lagrange in the #15 Lamborghini Gallardo. Soulet lapped a 1.31.991 around the long straights of Zolder. The W Racing Team of Anthony Kumpen and Bert Longin placed 3rd and 4th, respectively. This looks great for their championship run. Jeffrey Van Hooydonk completed the top 5 driving the swifter of the two Dodge Vipers. Classification of qualifications: 1. Goossens-Soulet (Porsche 911 GT3-R) 1.31.991 2.
