After three races in Francorchamps, including two consecutive wins for the Audi R8 LMS Grégory Franchi and Anthony Kumpen, the Belcar Endurance Championship is getting ready for the end of a season twice, on the Zolder circuit. Before the grand finale of “10 Hours of Zolder,” Saturday, November 13, the Belcar happen this weekend with the prologue of the European Championship FIA-GT3. Franchi, Kumpen and dream to continue their winning ways while their teammates Francois Verbist and Bert Longin hope to retain their leadership in the championship.

“Having two crews who claim a title, it’s a luxury problem. Frankly, it gets worse! “The man who speaks in these words, Vincent Vosse, team manager of the W Racing Team. Before the last two races of the season on the circuit of Zolder, the two crews and Audi R8 LMS are in fact the head of Belcar Endurance Championship. Even if they have not won yet this year, Francois Verbist and Bert Longin lead the dance with a point ahead of their teammates Greg Franchi and Anthony Kumpen, winners of the last two races in Francorchamps. “Even if we struggling with a Porsche crew, we will not set team, “says Vincent.” We will ensure that our two duets can claim their chances until the end. But our drivers know we’re a small private team that represents the Audi importer and I know they will behave in a very sporting. ”

As for drivers, the motivation is at its peak. “The end of the season will be very interesting,” smiled Bert Longin. “A Francorchamps, we fought for victory until the end and, with my teammate Francois Verbist, we were always a little disappointed to finish second. It is in our character to want to win! I also hope that this will happen this Sunday after the race of 125 minutes. It would allow us to have a little advantage when entering the last race of the 10 Hours. I have already won the championship 5 times Belcar and I want to keep this record and even better! ”

Obviously, Gregory Franchi and Anthony Kumpen also hope to win this Sunday in the pine Limburg. “Clearly, we will win as the last two races,” said Liegeois. “Our Audi R8 LMS is very powerful and I think that can be said of the crew that we train with Anthony. Even if we do not have much experience with this car at Zolder, I think we should be in it! ”

Greg Franchi is also especially busy this weekend. Besides the race Belcar, which will start at 13:20, he will play end in the event of the European Championship FIA-GT3 on the third car of W Racing Team. “Indeed I will team with the young Enzo Ide One of our usual rivals in Belcar, “says Greg.” I saw the level of the FIA-GT3 is really observed in the three races that I had played earlier in the season with Stéphane Lémeret, but I think we can aim for a top 5. ”

The same Stéphane Lémeret, driver of an Audi R8 LMS WRT team in the league with Greg Franchi de France, will also be taking part in this Belgian round of the European Championship. He will ride indeed – with the young German Kenneth Heyer, who won a race at Jarama this year – an Audi R8 LMS Team Rosberg. With these drivers, we should talk a lot of Members of the Belgian Audi Club during the test of Belcar, but also in the two races of 60 minutes from the FIA-GT3 scheduled till 10:35 and 16.05. So … See you in Zolder!
