After the success of cars like the Skoda Octavia, Skoda Laura, Skoda Superb and now Skoda Fabia, the company is working on the possibilities of introducing a new sedan codenamed SK215 based on the Fabia and is expected to be either a saloon version or an estate version. 
At one of the recent events Mr Thomas Kuehl, Board Member, Sales & Marketing, Skoda India, said "In the coming years, Skoda will be back on the front row with strategic planning in order to gain some market share in India. The main competitor of the SK215 will be the Honda City, Fiat Linea, Volkswagen Vento & Ford Fiesta," 
Skoda Fabia Combi India Specifications Skoda is presently owned by Volkswagen Group and therefore it is ought to borrow its engine from the latter. The car is expected be offered in two variants, one a 1.6 Litre TDCR Diesel engine and the other a 1.6 Litre MPFI petrol engine.
