2010 Brazilian motor show – Part 2

Posted: 15 Nov 2010 10:09 AM PST

This is the second part of my visit to the 2010 Brazil motor show in Sao Paulo. If you missed the first part then CLICK HERE to read it. In part two we check out the Lamborghini, Mercedes and Dodge stands.

Lamborghini

Lamborghini were present at the 2010 Brazil auto show with several models including the 523hp Lamborghini Gallardo Superlegera and Roadster. This stand was one of the most popular at the show with hundreds of people all fighting to get a look at the Italian supercars.

Mercedes Benz

Stepping onto the Mercedes stand was overwhelming, with so many models scattered around it was difficult knowing where to start, but then something grabbed my attention – there in a paint-less, shiny chrome body with its gullwing doors fully open was the awesome Mercedes SLS AMG GT3. It was the only Mercedes exhibit that was unaccessible to the public, instead we had to admire its awesomeness from behind a taped off area.

Other Mercedes cars on display included the Sl350, SLK 200K, G55 AMG, E350 Cabrio, E63 AMG Designo, Smart Car and many more.
Check out the Mercedes stand gallery below.

Dodge

One of the highlights of the Dodge stand was the customized Dodge Challenger by Mopar and this was probably one of the only cars at the show which had a guy showing it off instead of a girl. Sitting in front of the Challenger and looking just as impressive was a Dodge Charger police vehicle.

Also on display was the Dodge Ram pickup and Dodge Journey. Check out the gallery below.

Look out for Part 3 of the 2010 Brazil auto show this week.

MG Metro 6R4 rally car review: Video

Posted: 15 Nov 2010 06:32 AM PST

The guys from Autocar take a look back at the MG Metro 6R4 from the group B rally championships. The Metro 6r4 was a small car with a monster engine but sadly came to late to make much of an impact in the rally series.

The international spec MG Metro 6R4 rally car was measured at an incredible 410 bhp, it raced at Monte Carlo, Sweden, Portugal and Corsica during the 1986 season.

Watch the video below to see how Autocar get on with the Metro and perhaps it may bring back a few memories from the 80s.
