Anderson have managed to increase the Bentley GT Speed’s power from 610 hp up to a more powerful 695 hp. These extra horses were achieved by reprogramming the ECU, and replacing the air filter and exhaust system. These changes help shed 17 kg off the total weight and also the new exhaust system has a remote-controlled valve that can be set in three different sound levels.

The Anderson Bentley GT Speed body kit includes a carbon fiber bonnet and deck lid, a new front apron, side skirts and a rear bumper. This customized Bentley also features new LED daytime running lights in the front.

For more information read the Anderson press release below.

Anderson Press Release:

Traditionally, the fact that all Bentley models are in the finest category of automobiles is the matter of course. Willingness to improve this vehicle by “appropriate action” requires a complete self-confidence. As can be seen from the outcomes, that condition is by no means out of thin air.

And the company ANDERSON GERMANY, known for its bold solutions, headquartered in Dusseldorf, has been justifiably trusted again to awake a Bentley GT Speed Elegance edition and at the same time to make it a vehicle with unlimited possibilities for prestige improvements.

Outwardly, the carbon motor bonnet goes with the almost obligatory air intakes and the deck lid from the same-grade material is less visible. This exclusive body kit from ANDERSON GERMANY consists of a front apron, a set of side skirts and a rear skirt. And owing to LED daytime running lights, the risk to “overlook” this Bentley tends to zero. Due to its exclusivity, this body kit is limited to 150 pieces worldwide.

The vehicle already equipped with 610 hp engine has been improved through software optimization, a modified air filter and an exhaust system with additional Rennkats' 85 hp, whereby 695 hp and a dizzying torque are available now. The remote-controlled valve controlling the exhaust can operate in three noise levels. Incidentally, only the modified exhaust system saves up to 17 kg.

In the interior, the decor strips, the front and rear center console including ashtray and the interior light are also made of the precious carbon material. Passenger seats are trimmed with black leather and white logo stitching.

Porsche 918 Spyder production model teaser

German sports car producer – Porsche has released a teaser image of the production version Porsche 918 Spyder. The image shows a 1:3 scale clay model of the new Porsche model and there appears to be various differences to the concept car shown at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

This Porsche 918 Spyder clay model, although showing the exhaust pipes in the same location as the concept, it only has one end pipe, rather than two. The Porsche 918 Spyder model also show various other design changes around the doors and the front bumper.

Porsche has also recently announced that they’re going to invest 150 million Euros in their Weissach development center for a high-tech wind tunnel, a state-of-the-art design center and an innovative electronics integration center.

For more information read the Porsche press release below.

Porsche Press Release:

With extensive construction projects, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is now implementing a long-term strategic site plan for its research and development center in Weissach (Baden-Württemberg). The sports car manufacturer is investing around 150 million euros in a high-tech wind tunnel, a state-of-the-art design centre and an innovative electronics integration centre, etc.

The technology implemented in the new wind tunnel will also meet future requirements on vehicle development, which is increasingly focussing on energy efficiency. “The new system will help us to maintain Porsche’s top position in the fields of aerodynamics and design and to further extend our lead. Outstanding design with optimal aerodynamic efficiency have always been classic Porsche strongholds”, says Wolfgang Dürheimer, Porsche AG Board of Management Member for Research and Development. As the system will not only be used for Porsche’s internal developments, but will also be extensively available for Porsche customer development, it offers direct access from the adjacent design studio, and separate entrances for the discrete completion of customer development projects.

Above all, a new studio will offer more space for the Porsche designers, who are involved from the very earliest concept phase of each vehicle development process. Due to extended tasks, increased capacities are urgently required in the Weissach centre of competence for sports car construction.

Sub-areas which were previously scattered throughout several buildings at Porsche’s Weissach site can be bundled in the future electronics integration centre. Dürheimer: “This spatial proximity is a major advantage. The close interaction of our suppliers’ various electrical system/electronics experts and colleagues from related specialist fields during development will contribute significantly to the success of our work, particularly in the case of electronics, which now play a role in virtually every vehicle component.” Besides investing in systems and buildings, Porsche is also increasing its staffing levels. Around 100 engineers are to be recruited in the first stage alone
