New Lancia Stratos may enter racing: Rumor Posted: 09 Dec 2010 04:36 AM PST Rumor has it from Italy, that the new Lancia Stratos, that was made as a one-off vehicle for collector Michael Stoschek, might actually be heading for the race track.
Images of the Lancia Stratos GT2 race car are spreading across the web and if the creators are serious about entering the racing world then they will need to build at least 25 Stratos units to get homologated for FIA. The one-off vehicle on which the Lancia Stratos GT2 will be based on, is built on a Ferrari 430 Scuderia chassis and has a 2.25 kg per hp power-to-weight ratio. Like I mentioned earlier, this is just a rumor for now and it may never happen but it would be good to see the flying wedge competing in the WRC rally once again.
