New Ambassador Will Be Shorter To Avail Excise Benefits

Posted: 05 Jan 2011 11:57 PM PST

The present version of Hindustan Motors Ambassador is 4.3 meters long with a spacious interior and boots pace. This length of over 4 meters makes it to fall in large cars category which attracts a higher excise duty compared to the cars which are shorter than 4 meters in length. Hindustan Motors is already working on a new variant of Ambassador with New Engine. Not only the engine will be new, but the spy pictures of the car undergoing testing also suggests that the car will be less than 4 meters in length to avail the excise duty benefits to keep the overall cost of the car low to make it a more attractive deal.

As of now, the expected date for the launch of the new variant it end of 2011. We hope to see the new and attractive variant coming out soon with a better performing engine.
