More than being mere machines these products mean a lot to the brand and their customers since the same are responsible in changing the brands fate in the Indian Automobile market.

Way back in July last year we informed you of the upcoming 2011 Honda Accord which is meaner and better than the existing sedan and now the time has come for it to make its mark once again. Refreshing the Accord does bring a lot of improvements and much more attraction for the new buyers and the list includes the following:

  • Altered exterior and interior styling
  • Better fuel efficiency
  • New design alloys

More or less the car's overall appeal remains to be same yet some minor tweaks have been made not to disappoint the customers.

Although the car has suffered seriously because of the gaining popularity of Skoda Superb but still the 2011 iteration promises to defend its title of the most loved luxury sedan. Coming to the technical part, the car will sport the same 2.4-litre MPFI petrol and a 3.5 litre V6 heart with improved fuel efficiency.

The new model is expected to be acceptable since it is drawing some attention ahead of its official launch but the only thing to worry is that the car seems almost the same and had the manufacturer offered more features, it would have been a lot more interesting.

Skoda Motorsport’s Fabia Super 2000 project has been receiving positive response from Skoda importers in many markets. As a result, the Monte Carlo Rally will see some big names drive a Fabia Super 2000, including the new member of Skoda UK Motorsport Andreas Mikkelsen, the 2008 IRC champion Nicolas Vouilloz, Freddy Loix (winner of three IRC races last year) and Mark Wallenwein of Skoda Auto Germany. The Skoda Motorsport team will introduce an update livery to Monte Carlo – the most striking element is the strong green shade that is so typical of the Skoda brand. In contrast with the design used over the past few years, the new green-and-white combination is "reverse". The frontdoors will bear the logo "110 years of motorsport", an anniversary that Skoda Motorsport is celebrating this year.

Diesel Engine Powered Bikes Coming From Hero Honda And Enfield

Posted: 07 Jan 2011 11:43 PM PST

Hero Honda India is in talks with a Chennai based company to supply a 400 CC diesel engine which will be fitted in the upcoming Diesel Engine powered bike by Hero Honda. Its not clear as of now whether it will be an mechanical injector based engine or CRDI Diesel Engine, but we expect that chances of a it being a CRDI is higher so as to keep up with the emission and performance needs. Although the Diesel bikes are heavier and more expansive than the Petrol engine bikes, which is why they have not been so popular in India so far, yet the technological advancements of the Diesel engines have made it feasible to make it a viable option.
