Vijay Malya could not have expected more than bagging a team for the world's most sophisticated motorsport, Formula One. The initial years may not have been successful and glorious enough but now after nearly 3 years of hardwork Force India is gaining new heights globally.
At the launch of the 2011 car chairman Vijay Mallya said"This year there is even more to be optimistic about. We've got three race drivers that are hungry to take the next steps in their careers, whether that be points, podiums or wins.We have an experienced technical team that have the ingenuity, flexibility and drive to adapt to the new wave of rule changes, and we also have the tools and resources in our partnerships with McLaren Applied Technologies and Mercedes-Benz High Performance Engines to aim even higher"
Called as the Force India VJM04 the car is as astonishing as the team's current standing is and becomes the second team to adopt the blade-style roll hoop design in 2011. The first glimpse of the same can be obtained at the Jerez test starting from February 10.
According to the team's technical director Andrew Green the car has a lot to offer than it meets the eye and features a number of aerodynamic changes. He said, "The removal of the double diffuser resulted in quite a substantial loss of downforce which we spent the winter trying to recover."From the outside the biggest change you'll is a move to a 'blade' roll hoop. It just gave us a small packaging advantage, we felt, so we went down that route."

Superbikes from Suzuki are not the common type of two wheelers to be seen in the Indian Automobile market and has been a drawback for the company's sales. Globally Suzuki motorcycles attract a lot of customers and the most adored of them all is Suzuki Hayabusa which even retained the title for the fastest bike for a couple of years.
Considering the sales aspect the company needs to work a lot on its profile in our market and to give some cut throat competition to bikes in the 250cc segment, it will soon be seen launching Suzuki GW250 which will go head on with Honda CBR250R, Kawasaki Ninja 250R, Yamaha FZ250 etc..
Suzuki GW250 Specifications In India
The GW250 is a truly based on the Suzuki B-king which was launched back in 2007 and sports a massive 1300cc heart while this bike, which is also called as baby B-king sports a 250CC liquid cooled engine generating a maximum power of 26bhp and a maximum torque of 24Nm.
Styling wise it is too radical with a nice bulky fairing, dual exhaust and turn indicators located below the fuel tank. The bike weighs 180 kg is quite a monster.

Ford Figo has won quite a lot of titles and awards for Ford in India. It provide a good small car option from Ford India's stable which was missing until early last year. Nissan Micra is another useful small car from Nissan which has created some presence for Nissan in Indian small car market. Although Nissan is facing low sales numbers mainly because of the pricing of the competing cars is more aggressive compared to Micra. We have already compared Nissan Micra Petrol Vs Ford Figo Petrol here. In this post, I will compare Nissan Micra Diesel and Ford Figo Diesel.
Nissan Micra Vs Ford Figo Diesel Exteriors
Nissan Micra looks more round around the corners and overall and gives a cute appearance. On the other hand, Ford Figo has a sharp styling and more triangular and pointed design language. Both looks pleasing in appearance. Micra looks charming with its retro like charm while Figo looks more futuristic with sharp features.
Nissan Micra Dimensions :
Length = 3780mm; Width = 1665mm; Height = 1525mm;
Ford Figo Dimensions :
Length = 3795mm; Width = 1680mm; Height = 1453mm;
Figo is taller and wider than Micra so gives more space in width and has slightly lower seating position compared to Micra. The Micra on the other hand is a tall boy with higher seating height and more headroom.
On looks and exteriors front, I would consider it a tie.
Nissan Micra Diesel Engine Vs Ford Figo Diesel Engine
Nissan Engine / Transmission :
Ford Figo Engine / Transmission :
The engine of Figo is slightly more powerful and punchy, but mileage is where Micra takes on Figo. Nissan Micra claims to have 23 KMPL mileage per litre of Diesel which is best in class. So it's a trade off, if you want more power, you have to compromise with mileage and vice-e-versa.
Ford Figo Diesel Price VS Nissan Micra Diesel Price
Pricing of Ford Figo Diesel (ex-showroom) Delhi is between Rs. 4.55 Lakhs and Rs. 5.44 Lakhs.
Pricing of Nissan Micra Diesel (ex-showroom) Delhi is between Rs. 5.58 Lakhs and Rs. 6.04 Lakhs.
Considering the price difference and the engine specifications and missing safety features like ABS and EBD even in the top variants of Micra which Figo Offers, the Figo is a much better deal both in terms of features as well as safety.
CarBlogIndia Verdict on Ford Figo VS Nissan Micra Diesel
Considering the features, specifications and price, Ford Figo is definitely more value for money, less maintenance and a safer choice with features like ABD and Airbags on the offer in the top end diesel variant.
