On the exterior, the new Chrome accentuated front grille, rear chrome garnish and new front bumper adds to the charm of the Accord. The Sunroof now comes as standard across the Accord range which gives the car an impressive panoramic feeling making it look brighter and larger. Addition of Steering mounted cruise control system helps one to cruise at the desired speed to ensure comfort and convenience for the customer with one-touch operation and ORVM with turn indicators makes it more stylish and enhances the looks of the car. The inside wooden panel makes it look even more exquisite. The Accord now comes with an advanced improved audio system for improved usability & readability and Jackknife key have also been added to the Accord.
Honda Accord is equipped with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) to assist the driver in maintaining control during cornering, acceleration and sudden maneuvers by applying braking to the right or left hand wheels as necessary and modulating the engine torque output as required.

The 8th generation Honda Accord was introduced in May 2008. The Honda Accord is available in 2.4L and 3.5L V6 engine.
The 2.4L Accord comes with 5-speed Manual Transmission and 5-speed Automatic transmission with Paddle shift, to give the exhilarating experience of F-1 racing. The Automatic Transmission has Shift Holding System which avoids unnecessary gear shifting on winding roads and helps in hassle free drive.
The 3.5L V6 engine features an advanced Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) system that switches between six-, four-, and three-cylinder combustion depending on the driving conditions and thereby delivering maximum power of 275 PS during six cylinder operation and impressive fuel economy in VCM mode while cruising. Diesel Cars May Become Costlier In March 2011 After Union Budget 2011

Government of India consults a lot of Economic experts and other eminent experienced people before formulating the guidelines and rules in the annual Indian Budget. As per one of these reports, the recommendations make by "Kirit Parikh committee", there are many suggestions related to the Oil industry. The report talks of proposals to reduce economic burden on the Govt. by increasing Kerosene and LPG prices and deregulating Petrol and Diesel prices. The most striking recommendation in the report is to increase the prices of Diesel engine vehicles

An additional excise duty on a diesel vehicle to bring it at-par with petrol driven cars. At the current levels of usage, an additional excise duty payable amounts to about Rs.80,000/year.

This recommendation is enough to make the major carmakers in India worry about the Diesel car pricing and sales. Most of the small diesel cars in India are sold because of their low running cost. If the initial cost of the car is increased by a big amount (amount may be announced in this budget), the economic factor for low running cost will be automatically offset. This will mean a drastic drop in the sales of small cars powered by Diesel engines. Lets keep our fingers crossed and see if these recommendations will actually be implemented in the budget of year 2011 or not.

Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India Ltd. is going head on to compete with the most popular segment of Bikes in India, the 100 CC segment dominated by Hero Honda Splendor and Hero Honda Passion bikes. Since Hero Honda has already split into Hero Group and Honda will continue its operations in the two wheelers segment in India, there is not conflict over having a competing product which may give a tough time to the best seller from Hero Honda (now Hero Group). In the recent developments, we have reported Hero group considering to remove Honda brand name from Hero Honda Passion and Splendor, the these series of events seems quite in connect with each other.

The Honda 100 CC commuter segment bike will be placed below 110 CC Honda CB Twister and will also cost less. It will be more fuel efficient compared with the CB Twister with Honda's expertise in fuel efficient and silent engines. Tata Indica DICOR To Be Revised In March 2011

Tata has been the ultimate small car manufacturer after Maruti Suzuki as Tata Indica remained the one and only choice of buyers for quite an appreciable amount of time. Later the Indica was promoted at times and again by launching new models like Tata Indica Vista and Tata Indica V2 Turbomax , but the original Indica was somewhere left out.

Main reason for the ignorance was the lack of BS4 compliance which eventually led to its fall and now the company is planning to revise the old Tata Indica Dicor and will be rebadged as Tata Indica CR4. This will lead to higher sales volumes and capture a larger market share, if the car becomes a success.

Mr Ramakrishnan, Tata Motors Vice President (Commercial-Passenger Car Business Unit) said,"We will be introducing a Tata Indica BS IV variant (diesel) with CRDI (Common Rail Direct Injection) next month"

Playing safely the company will price the new BS4 compliant model well above the BS3 one as the new CRDI diesel engine will incur some extra cost while it will marginally lower than Indica Vista so as to avoid any conflicts between the customers.
