Dodge planning to replace distinctive Cross-hair Grille

Posted: 25 Feb 2011 08:30 AM PST

Dodge has been using the same distinctive cross-hair grille on all their cars and trucks for the last 20 years and now the company have decided that its time for a change.

Dodge brand CEO, Ralph Gilles has stated that the tough and muscular Cross-hair front Grille gives the brand a very distinct look and feel but as with everything, things change and so the company will be phasing out the cross-hair on all of Dodge’s existing models.

According to Gilles,

"We had to be careful because the cooling work was pretty much done when we decided to re-brand the vehicles. That will continue evolving over time."

The Ram brand will be retaining the cross-hair grill, as it works perfectly for the RAM Trucks.

As of right now there is no set time frame, or any information as to what the new front ends will look like, so we will just have to wait and see what Dodge is going to come up with.
