Imagine the two-wheeler market a few years back when Yamaha was way behind than giants like Hero Honda & Bajaj and compare it with today's scenario. Is there any difference? Certainly there had been a major difference until this Japanese automaker introduced Yamaha FZ-16 and Yamaha R15 which literally conquered the territory earlier ruled by motorcycles like Bajaj Pulsar family and Hero Honda Karizma.
Inspite of being overpriced, the company's new bikes slipped into the market and emerged as extremely successful products. Recently it even added bikes like Yamaha SZ, Yamaha SZ-X and Yamaha SZ-R to make its line-up more complete. But globally the brand's work has been heavily acclaimed for the reason that it offers products ranging from powerful superbikes to revolutionary electric scooter concepts.
In fact every time Yamaha comes with a new product, it is assumed to be revolutionary as this brand is figuring every possible way for a greener and better future. Now the scoop is that the company is considering an electric bike for the Indian market and importantly it will be India-specific. Justifying the above plan, India Yamaha Motor Director (Sales and Marketing) Jun Nakata said, “For rising fuel prices, electric bike is a good option. Currently we are selling electric bikes in Japan and Europe. There is a possibility for the Indian market for introducing these products,”
The company's wholly-owned subsidiary, India Yamaha Motor is also working on an electric scooter that is supposed to be introduced very soon and besides all these electric plans the company also has two new bikes to be launched this year. Talking on the same, India Yamaha Motor National Business Head Roy Kurian said, “Every year we launch new products. This year we will introduce two new bikes and some variants of the existing models.”
Need I say more? The officials have spoken enough about their future plans and we are completely looking forward at what comes to our way next.

It was being reported about Tata‘s plans of introducing a new BS IV compliant model of Tata Indica which was also rumored to be called as Tata Indica CR4 is out on the internet. No official launch or any such event has been organized by the company but well ahead of the same, the official brochure has popped out of somewhere over the web.
The new model named as Tata Indica eV2 is nothing but a christened Tata Indica V2 with a new DICRO (CRDI) engine in compliance with BS4 emission norms. The 'e' in eV2 stands for economy and it does justifies the name as per ARAI's test result where the car delivered an impressive mileage of 25 km/l. With such a great mileage figure it becomes the most fuel efficient hatchback in the small car segment.
Tata Indica eV2 Specifications In India
The earlier rumored name as Indica CR4 was misunderstood as the name of the car whereas it is a CR4 engine which is powerful and fuel efficient at the same time. It manages to produce a maximum power of 76BHP @ 4000 rpm and a peak torque of 140Nm in range of 1800 to 3000 rpm. Dimension wise it still remains the same but it now gets a host of new features which make this one a really special car.

Bajaj is known for having a variety of bikes, one for every need. If you look at the Bajaj Pulsar series of Bajaj, it has bikes starting from 135 going through 150, 180, 220 and 250 which is in the making as of now. The Bajaj Discover series had only Bajaj 150 for a long time and then the new avatar of Bajaj Discover 100 has been launched in Feb 2011. Now the sources suggest that Bajaj is soon going to launch yet another variant of Bajaj Discover 125 which will be placed between 100 and 150. This is for the buyers who want an optimum balance between power and fuel economy. The price difference between the Bajaj 125 and 150 CC will be hardly up to Rs. 2000. Having so closely placed products may eat into each others market share, but Bajaj has a track record of doing good sales in almost all the segments with its sensible products which are often good value for money.
Stay tuned since we get some more information officially. You can get free updates via our free email newsletter.

BMW has been recording appreciable sales figures for quite a while and the credit for this rise in sales is shared between BMW 3-Series and BMW 5-Series. As far as the Indian market is concerned the buyers are extremely content with the standard line-up of these highly successful sedans and have hardly explored the higher performance sides of the respective models.
Today BMW launched a performance model of BMW 320d called as BMW 320d Performance Edition which portrays a much brutal, meaner and powerful look. No special engine has been developed for the above, so it still sports the same 2.0 Liter heart but appreciable tuning has been performed to give it a new meaning.
Power and torque is what this special model offers and we bet, once you get your hands on one you won't feel like getting out of it. As mentioned above the only interesting part about the car is it's engine and a few unique features besides the standard features being offered with other 3-series models. the unique features include:-
Briefly talking you through the car, the improved engine and exterior performance components together produce a maximum power of 184 HP and maximum torque of 380 Nm and give an improved top speed of 232 km/h compared to the regular 320d's 174 HP and 350 Nm and top speed of 229 km/h.
