Yamaha India Electric Bike and Two New Bikes For 2011

Posted: 07 Mar 2011 07:42 AM PST

Imagine the two-wheeler market a few years back when Yamaha was way behind than giants like Hero Honda & Bajaj and compare it with today's scenario. Is there any difference? Certainly there had been a major difference until this Japanese automaker introduced Yamaha FZ-16 and Yamaha R15 which literally conquered the territory earlier ruled by motorcycles like Bajaj Pulsar family and Hero Honda Karizma.

Inspite of being overpriced, the company's new bikes slipped into the market and emerged as extremely successful products. Recently it even added bikes like Yamaha SZ, Yamaha SZ-X and Yamaha SZ-R to make its line-up more complete. But globally the brand's work has been heavily acclaimed for the reason that it offers products ranging from powerful superbikes to revolutionary electric scooter concepts.

In fact every time Yamaha comes with a new product, it is assumed to be revolutionary as this brand is figuring every possible way for a greener and better future. Now the scoop is that the company is considering an electric bike for the Indian market and importantly it will be India-specific. Justifying the above plan, India Yamaha Motor Director (Sales and Marketing) Jun Nakata said, “For rising fuel prices, electric bike is a good option. Currently we are selling electric bikes in Japan and Europe. There is a possibility for the Indian market for introducing these products,”

The company's wholly-owned subsidiary, India Yamaha Motor is also working on an electric scooter that is supposed to be introduced very soon and besides all these electric plans the company also has two new bikes to be launched this year. Talking on the same, India Yamaha Motor National Business Head Roy Kurian said, “Every year we launch new products. This year we will introduce two new bikes and some variants of the existing models.”

Need I say more? The officials have spoken enough about their future plans and we are completely looking forward at what comes to our way next.

New Tata Indica eV2 BS IV Model With CR4 Engine– Details Specifications Features Price & Brochure

Posted: 07 Mar 2011 07:35 AM PST

It was being reported about Tata‘s plans of introducing a new BS IV compliant model of Tata Indica which was also rumored to be called as Tata Indica CR4 is out on the internet. No official launch or any such event has been organized by the company but well ahead of the same, the official brochure has popped out of somewhere over the web.

The new model named as Tata Indica eV2 is nothing but a christened Tata Indica V2 with a new DICRO (CRDI) engine in compliance with BS4 emission norms. The 'e' in eV2 stands for economy and it does justifies the name as per ARAI's test result where the car delivered an impressive mileage of 25 km/l. With such a great mileage figure it becomes the most fuel efficient hatchback in the small car segment.

BMW has been recording appreciable sales figures for quite a while and the credit for this rise in sales is shared between BMW 3-Series and BMW 5-Series. As far as the Indian market is concerned the buyers are extremely content with the standard line-up of these highly successful sedans and have hardly explored the higher performance sides of the respective models.

Today BMW launched a performance model of BMW 320d called as BMW 320d Performance Edition which portrays a much brutal, meaner and powerful look. No special engine has been developed for the above, so it still sports the same 2.0 Liter heart but appreciable tuning has been performed to give it a new meaning.
