Maruti Suzuki India 1 Crore Cars Sold! – Special Metallic Breeze Blue Wagon-R Launched

Today has been a very special day for India's most loved automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki as it has reached the ten millionth or 1 crore milestone. With its first offering way back in 1983 as Maruti 800, the company has never looked behind and kept on setting benchmarks after benchmarks. In 1994, the company reached the 1 million milestone which later turned to 2 million in 1997.

In 2005 which is almost 22 years later of its entry, the company succeeded in bringing its cumulative sales figures to five million and today it surpassed the 1 crore mark making its entry into the list of the few manufactures who have achieved the same at the global center stage.

The company has shown immense growth over the past 3 decades with its total revenue summing to Rs.301,197 million in 2009-10 from Rs. 178,603 million in 2007-08.

The way of celebration of the brand has been as special as the ten millionth car is. A Maruti Wagon-R painted in a unique metallic breeze blue colour is what the brand rolled out of its Gurgaon plant today and the car reflects the content and satisfaction it achieved today.

2011 BMW X3 Sports Activity Vehicle India Launch In May-June, Specifications, Features, Price

Its been in the news for quite a long time about BMW's plans of introducing the BMW X3 in the Indian automobile market and the time has come as during May & June this year the car will hit the market indeed. We are surprised to see BMW proceeding at such a high pace as it launched BMW 320d Performance Edition a couple of days back, then announced of the BMW 6 Series launch and now the X3.

The next addition BMW X3 Sports Activity Vehicle is supposed to bring a significant change in the company's portfolio and sales figures since reports say that the car will be imported as CKD unit and not as CBU unit thereby reducing the overall cost per product. This strategy certainly will help the brand price it competitive enough in the market and expectedly attain a better growth.

From June 2011 the company will start assembling the car inspite of the current ambiguous stand held by the Indian government which is supposed to be defined in the 2011 Union Budget.

This new planned approach clearly shows the hunger of BMW India for more and more sales and with chances of success, Audi and Mercedes-Benz will have to now think over their strategies and take some aggressive steps.
