Jaguar has launched its premium luxury sedan the Jaguar XF in India at a premium price tag of Rs. 48.37 Lakhs in India. The car comes packed with power, performance and luxury. This sedan is equipped with a 3 Litre V6 Diesel Engine with a 0 to 100 KMPH punch in just 6.4 seconds on its 18 inch alloy wheels. The car will be available in India via CBU (completely built unit) route, which is the main reason behind such a hefty price tag of this car. This car has been customized for Indian road and driving conditions before its launch in India.

BMW India sales are doing good and with the demand rising, BMW is going to ramp up its production capacity. Currently the annual production capacity of BMW Chennai plant is about 3000 units which will be boosted to about 8000 units in year 2011. The need for this expansion is even more when the upcoming SUV from BMW, the BMW X1 will hit Indian roads. It will be the cheapest SUV from BMW in India, thus high demand is expected. This expansion is a part of BMW's investment of Rs. 180 crores to be spent on India operations to improve its presence in India.

Toyota Etios is a new segment for Toyota India with a direct competition for the small cars and affordable sedans. This segment is already captured by many large car companies in India with the popular cars like Maruti Swift, Hyundai i20, New Skoda Fabia, Maruti Swift Dzire, Volkswagen Polo, Ford Figo, Volkswagen Vento, Tata Indigo Manza, etc. These small hatchback and sedan cars have been priced attractively to gain larger market shares in India. Toyota is new in this segment and price bracket. Right from the announcement of the small cars at the Auto Expo 2010, people are quite curious and excited about the more affordable small cars and sedans from Toyota. On December 1, Toyota India reveals Toyota Etios Hatchback called Etios Liva and Toyota Etios sedan. The two cars will be very light weight and fuel efficient with a ARAI approved mileage of 17+ KMPL. It also claims to be the most spacious hatchback in this segment, the interiors are neat and roomy. The petrol version with 1.2 Litre engine will be available first and 1.4 Litre CRDI Diesel option will be available few months down the line.
