Armoured cars are becoming the next important thing in the Indian Automobile market as potential buyers always opt for cars with better safety features but a car with good safety features and an armoured car are two different things. The safari sports the new BS IV 2.2 Litre DICOR diesel engine which churns out a maximum power of 140 BHP @ 4000 RPM and a peak torque of 320 Nm @1700 RPM but now it is to be seen whether buyers would opt for the car or not. TVS motors India is working on an electric scooter for India. TVS had already introduced an electric two wheeler called the Scooty Teenz which did not do well in India and was eventually phased out. With the rise in electric two wheelers catching up in India, especially in the metro cities, TVS has decided to launch its electric scooter in India in 2012. Another important factor attracting TVS into the electric scooter launch is the excise duty benefits and sops announced by the Finance minister in the Indian Union Budget 2011

Renault India website is up and it has posted about the cars to be launched in 2011 in India. So far, the website features Renault Fluence Sedan and Renault Koleos SUV which were displayed in Auto Expo 2010 in Delhi last year. Recently at the Geneva motor show 2011 Renault has revealed its roadmap in India. The two cars featured on the official Indian Website of Renault India features Fluence And Koleos, however it does not mentions details of the cars.
