Hyundai, India's second largest automobile manufacturer and largest passenger car exporter in a move to spread it excellent services has organized its 10th nationwide Free Car Care Clinic. With over 500 Hyundai workshops across the country under the campaign , the brand expects to satisfy as many customers as it can during the period of 5th March to 14th March 2011.

Ferrari has selected Shreyans Group India as the official importer of Ferrari cars in India. The Shreyans group will setup an Indian office for Ferrari group. The first Ferrari dealership will open its doors in New Delhi before first half of 2011, and a second one is scheduled to open in Mumbai in the second half of 2011. The Shreyans Group will setup an independent Ferrari India office with Ferrari experienced professionals to manage the upcoming dealer network.

Volvo has launched its Volvo S60 sedan in Mumbai today. The S60 is priced starting at Rs. 27 Lakhs Ex-Showroom Mumbai. The S60 sedan is available in three different variants with Two engine options D5 and T6 engine. The D5 is a 5 Cylinder CRDI Diesel engine with a max power of 205 BHP and a torque of 420 Nm. The T6 is a 3 Litre, inline 6 cylinder engine with twin-turbo producing 320 BHP with 440 Nm torque which can make 0-100 KMPH in just 6.5 seconds !

Mahindra Reva NXR Spied Testing In India – Specifications

Ever since after buying Reva, Mahindra & Mahindra, Mahindra Reva has been working extremely hard on the next generation electric car, Reva NXR which proves to be an improvement over the previous one. All the problems like cramped interiors, lesser top speed and lower range which were existing have been successfully sorted out.

As of now reports say that the Reva NXR is slated for launch in the year 2012 and soon after that Mahindra will also consider launching a more powerful Reva NXG in 2013. As per Motoroids blog the car has been spied testing in India and it clearly tells that it will get launched sometime in the middle of 2012.

The car will be offered in a two door version having space to accommodate a full family with four persons. With no surprise the years of development work on the Reva has made these next gen models way better than its predecessor and now reach a top speed of 104 km/h along with a range of 160 km. Jumping into the interiors, the new models comes equipped with a host of innovative communication features for monitoring crucial information such as battery charge etc.

New innovations include the feature of texting the owner on information like Time-to-full-change, pre-heat or pre-cool the car, and can even send e-mail to the you in context with your driving habits. Another very important feature is REVive, a technology which enables the driver to use a certain amount of backup charge in case the primary battery has discharged completely.

For the European markets the car is available with Lithium ion batteries and costs around Rs. 10 Lakh abroad but expectedly the car will be launched with Lead Acid batteries installed under the hood and will be priced around Rs.7 Lakh.

Maruti Suzuki Rohtak Plant With R&D Center

Maruti Suzuki Indian Ltd. sold one million cars in India last year, this year, it is expected to be 1.2 million which is a huge number. Maruti has its R&D center at Gurgaon and its manufacturing plants at Gurgaon and Manesar. The combined capacity of these two manufacturing plants is not enough for coming years, so moving ahead Maruti is going to open a new facility at Rohtak, in twice the area as its Gurgaon facility. Maruti Rohtak plant will be spread over 600 Acres of land and will have a Research and Development center as well as a manufacturing plant with a capacity of as high as 6 Lakh cars per year. This will help Maruti to keep on-track with the rising demand of Maruti cars in India. Maruti has already started working on regional Maruti stockyards around India to meet car demands on time.

It will take a couple of years to make this a reality and an investment of over Rs. 1000 crores from Maruti. Maruti is already working on its initiatives to reduce dependency on Suzuki Japan and develop its own cars in India. The Made in India car by Maruti maybe showcased in the Auto Expo 2012. Cricketer Virat Kohli is TVS Motors India New Brand Ambassador

Back in old days around 2002 TVS India had master blaster Sachin Tendulkar riding the classic TVS Victor bike which was a 110 CC bike which pitched against most of th1 100 CC bikes at that time. Till then, there has been many Indian cricket players from Indian team representing TVS brand as the brand Ambassador. The latest addition to TVS brand Ambassador's list is Virat Kohli. He will be the ambassador for TVS Sport Motorcycle. The TVS Sport model is a high fuel efficiency 100 CC bike with a max power of about 7.4 HP and 7.5 Nm of torque. The bike features smart alloy wheels, engine coating in black and sharp aerodynamic styling and graphics.

TVS Sport also features digital ignition control, comfortable hydraulic suspensions at front, large drum brakes at front and rear and light weight for better mileage in city condition.
