The brand has started the local assembly of Audi Q5 and if the Q3 comes to India then we certainly wish to see the car getting assembled locally eventually helping us shed less money from our pockets for this beauty. We don not wish to jump the gun and assure you of such plans from Audi but its what we expect to see in the near future. Audi's Senior official when approached quoted,"Audi has not even launched Q3 in the overseas markets. So launching the model in the Indian market doesn't seem to be a possibility in the next few quarters. However, over a period of time, we may consider it if there is a market potential,"

The major plans to launch the Audi Q3 and Audi A1 in the same year i.e. 2011 and has invested €300 million for a Seat site In Martorell,Spain dedicated to production of this mini suv with a capacity of nearly 80,000 units per annum. We will use the Group’s synergies to sharpen our competitive edge and help protect around 1,200 jobs. The decision furthermore safeguards workplaces at other Audi locations,"
