Hyundai India Testing Hyundai i45 in India– New Hyundai Sonata For India?

Hyundai is quite popular in India for its innovative cars of i-series. The first small car in India of the i-series, Hyundai i10 has been doing wonderful sales for Hyundai has changed the game for small cars. The premium hatchback Hyundai i20 has also collected a lot of admiration and has clocked decent sales. The next car in this series can be the Hyundai i45 Sedan. The new Hyundai i45 sedan – aka Hyundai Sonata Sedan is quite likely to make its place in Indian market.

This beautiful sedan designed been based on the Hyundai i-Flow Concept called the "Fluidic Sculpture".

Hyundai i45 or Hyundai Sonata is under testing in India by Hyundai. Recently some people have spotted the Hyundai i45 on Bangalore-Chennai road after Krishnagiri in India. The white coloured sedan spotted on the highway clearly seems to be Hyundai i45 with the badge clearly visible. The license plate shows temporary numbers belonging to Tamil Nadu state of India.

Force Explorer SUV India Launch Postponed To May 2011

Force Motors Indian has delayed the launch of its upcoming SUV for Indian markets, called the Force Explorer by about 2 months. Earlier the launch was scheduled for March 2011, but launch has now been delayed to May 2011 for further testing this SUV. There may be some unresolved problems or testing which is being conducted before final go ahead for launch and mass production of Force Explorer.

Tata has announced the launch of new variant of Tata Indigo Manza with the top end variant of the new series branded as Tata Indigo Manza Elan. Riding high on the enormous success of Figo, their last launch in India, Ford, has decided to launch its latest offering, the Ford Fiesta Classic. The American carmaker, which took some time to earn a name in the Indian market, has codenamed this car as B299. The Fiesta Classic was originally conceived and designed for its consumers in China. Soon, the same car will be launched for potential consumers in India as well. Besides a new name, the new Fiesta has a sleek design. It looks amazingly trendy and futuristic. As you can see the snapshot below, the Ford Fiesta Classic has Ford's global kinetic design theme and is based on the Mazda 2.

Coming back to the looks, I would say, it looks masculine. With an amazing, sleek and tilted headlights, Ford Fiesta Classic will be a car to watch out for when it launches in India. To cut short, Ford has completely changed the design of its existing Fiesta, and why not? with so many cars being launched in India, the competition is getting extremely tough in that segment. With several good cars like Toyota Etios, Hyundai Verna Transform, Maruti SX4 Diesel and now Ford Fiesta Classic, consumers in India have a lot of options to choose from.

The interiors of Fiesta Classic are attractive. Before Figo's launch in India, its interiors were slightly modified keeping in mind the taste of Indian consumers. It will be interesting to note what they do with this one before it launches in India. Fiesta Classic in China has an amazingly attractive steering wheel. It has a beige horn which complements Ford's blue-coloured-logo in the middle. And with titanium edges on the steering wheel, the colour combination looks great.

Currently, Ford Fiesta has a 1.6 L petrol engine which produces about 100 BHP and a 1.4 L diesel engine producing 68 BHP. The Ford Fiesta Classic will have 1.6 L engines in both its petrol as well as diesel variants. It is also expected that new Fiesta churns out 118 BHP of power in petrol and an amazing 90 BHP with its diesel engine. The current Fiesta doesn't have the option of Automatic Transmission (AT), but the new Fiesta may have an AT in its high end variant.

The price range of Ford Fiesta Classic is expected to be in the range of Rs. 6.8 Lakhs to Rs. 7.7 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) as against the current range of Rs. 6.51 Lakhs to Rs. 8.51 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). Fiesta Classic is expected to launch sometime in the second half of 2011.
